Family Housing Sprint 2026

We are working with the City of Durham and other partners to quickly house up to 10 families. We could use your help to help ensure these families get settled comfortably into their new homes. We are in need of gently used furniture, volunteers, and extra funds to help support this endeavor. Here is how you can help:

We are in search of:

  • TV Stands

  • Coffee Tables

  • Dressers

  • Nightstands

  • Small Kitchen Tables with Chairs

If you have an item to donate, please contact Megan Harrison (megan@fmfnc.org; 919.683.5878 x 59).

Please do not drop off any item directly to FMF; we do not have the space to safely store items and cannot accept furniture donations at our facility.

We will need help moving, transporting, and setting up furniture. If you are interested in lending a hand (or a truck), reach to Maryn Leonard (maryn@fmfnc.org; 919.683.5878 x31) to share your interest and she’ll keep in touch as we continue to coordinate our efforts.

Don’t have any suitable items or time to share? You can still help! Donate funds to help us cover the cost of coordinating, transportation, and more!
